Had 4.6 pro installed and was having some troubles so I uninstalled every version of Daz that I had. Restarted with Daz3 installed and then installed Daz 4.0. Seems to be working but very slow on loading Genesis figures and content. I want to install Daz 4.6 Pro again to see if it will work OK. Before when I had Daz 4.6 Pro downloaded and tried to load genesis figures it would say that some data was missing which was the dsf. files and they would not load properly and content manager would not work correctly. Was this because I didnt have Daz 4.0 loaded on my pc at that time? The first time I had it running it seemed to work fine. I have purchased Daz Monstrosities and noticed there is only zip files. Will content manager load these or do I have to manually extract these files and if so where do I put them?
Kinda lost for the moment so want to know where to go from here and any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is highly recommended that you not have two different versions of DS4 installed at the same time (at least not on the same hard drive). If you install DS4.6, it will (or should, anyway) uninstall DS4.0 for you. It's okay to have DS3 installed on a computer that also has any version of DS4 installed.
Keep in mind that if you install DS4.6, you'll also need to install Genesis Starter Essentials.

Tried downloading again and content manager keeps asking if I want to save my filter changes. Cant change this at all no matter what. When I open Daz 4.6Pro it says cant load scene 'missing genesis female dsf files
Time to ask the obvious question: Have you downloaded and installed the Genesis Starter Essentials, and the Genesis 2 Female Essentials?
Those contain the Genesis.dsf files which every Genesis figure is based on and therefore requires. Genesis 2 Female is her own figure and any products which require it will obviously also require you to download her. Both of these are free downloads if you own Daz Studio, so ensure you check your downloads list for these all-important installs.
As these are zip files where do I extract them?
They should be unzipped to your Daz Studio library folder. It's the same folder which holds the Data and Runtime subfolders used by Daz Studio.
First you OPEN the Zip files, then you OPEN the Content folder (top folder in Zip) and the folders inside that are added to the My Library or the My DAZ 3D Library folder. You do not want the Content folder at all, that Is not needed and will cause a Nested folder Error if added to the other folder that holds your content, My Library or My DAZ 3D Library.
EDIT: This only Applies if the Opened ZIP has the Content folder at top, which the DIM zips does have. The DIM strips it out at Auto Install.
I was able to find the Genesis Essentials App. file and used it.All seems to be working properly now.

I am having the very same errors it must be because DAZ 4.5 is not installed on my pc but now I can not find where to download it? It has been a while since I did anything as I deleted all my items year and half ago :((
Also could it be something to do with the 32bit or 64bit?
Hi thankyou but I have tried everything even doing it manually nothing seems to be in its right folder, genesis doesn't even work not even lighting I am at a loss, I should never have deleted all my years of work ..........I will try and re install again daz 4.6 pro yet I have done this several times I will get this done even if it means throwing my pc at the wall lol
Before throwing the PC take us through your process.
I don't think reinstalling will fix you issues.

It is like nothing seems to be in the right directory so when I try and load anything it is saying can not find this and can not find that or error!
When loading DAZ it says can not load scene as cannot find genesis .DSF?
Ok what is your content directory and have you only got one?
The link I provided shows you how to see if Daz Studio can see your content folder, does it match your content folder's location.
Did you install Genesis and Genesis 2 starter essentails? If so where did you install it too.
\0/ Thankyou, although I have to load my content folder like the directions that you have shown everytime I load daz but hey as long as things work :D your a god send .........now for the long road of downloading everything from daz :C I will put this forum to one side just in case ;)
If you have a lot of content to download, you may want to consider using the Install Manager to do it for you. It's a little bit of work getting it set up (not much, particularly if you just accept the default locations for things) but once it's up and running, it should make things MUCH faster and easier.
