Removing a Shadow

I created an Animation and there are two small shadows on the Character from her hand that make the Animation look odd. I have added point lights close to the locations and adjusted the light parameters so that they remove the shadows without completely ruining the scene lighting.

The problem is that the rendering for each frame jumped from 9 minutes up to 22 minutes. Is there a better technique to solving my problem that won't cost so much rendering time?
