Getting a "Property" to show up in the Shaping Tab

My Daz version is 4.10 for reference. So I'm creating a set of morph sliders that I want to be used for shaping an actor, not posing. Since the set of morphs is rather large and detailed, I have created many "property" sliders that manipulate multiple morphs at once. For example, lets say I have created two morph sliders named "Morph Example Left" and "Morph Example Right". I also have created a "property" slider named "Morph Example" that when I move the slider, both "Morph Example Left" and "Morph Example Right" move at the same time. Initially everything starts in the Parameters tab as I create the morphs, so I need to move them to the shapes tab. I do this by assigning all of these morphs and properties to a custom group in the applicable actor path tree and set their type to "Modifier/Shape". This works just fine for all of the morphs and they do indeed show up in the correct group in the shapes tab, but all of the "Property" sliders move to the new group but stay on the parameters tab. Anyone have a clue how to fix this?

Setting the path and type, as far as I know, should be all that is required.
I have the same path and type set on all of the morphs and properties, and since the morphs show up on the shapes tab, I know my settings are correct, yet no properties show up on shapes. I wouldn't worry about it except I want all of my shape controls in one place, and some of my settings actually require me to use property sliders to combine two rotation morphs (one in each direction) into one slider, otherwise the morph would distort the shape improperly if you went negative.
