As far as I know it has not been updated, though I did test it out just now straight out of the box. The default glossiness typical with iray works well with the interior.
First render is a straight load from smart content, and went into the scene tree and removed the included Bastion skydome in the worlds folder. All default DazStudio render setting, with ground off,
The second Render, used some of the default Uber Iray shaders that ship with DazStudio. Used Magnesium Alloy on the metal rafters and light poles. Used a 60watt real Iray light shader for the glass bulbs, and applied the frosted glass shader on the skylight. Red Car paint on the sign.
Both these images rendered for 300 iterations, but gives the idea how the set will render in Iray.
Hope that helps.
Wow!! that second one looks fantastic! Thanks! Had I known this, I would have purchased it when it was on sale. Oh well! I'm still rather new to Daz Studio so I've never really worked with shaders and honestly don't even understand what they do so this was helpful.
What I had thought of doing was using the mall environment and somehow intregrating with other products such as https://www.daz3d.com/i13-theatre-with-poses and https://www.daz3d.com/i13-clothing-boutique-interior so that it all seemed to flow together rather seemlessly. Now honestly, I don't know how doable that would be but that my intent.
But getting back to the mall, does it have the capibility of having a food court?
One other thing.............is there a tutorial or something you can please direct me towards regarding the Iray shaders and how to apply them? Because I'm looking through all my defaults and can't find any 60watt Iray light shaders for glass bulbs. I think if I understood how this process works it would help me with another product https://www.daz3d.com/cafeteria-eating-area which also looks ALOT different in the promo images veres actually rendered!
Here's a video showing how to make a quick light emitter. The video used a plane, but the shader can be used on any surface that is trying to emulate a light source. Simply increase the luminance value to increase intensity.
Thanks a lot for your informations.
I do a little video for explain this (with french texte)
