How do you make the HDRI distant without having to use camera and distort?

Does anyone know how make the HDRI distant without having to use focus length or frame width in the camera settings which give you that fish eye look? I bought the Scifi HDRIs and when loading the stars just appear so close to the figure. I want to push the HDRI back so that the figure remains the same for close shot portrait without the fish eye distortion when using the camera, and I want the stard to be more distant rather than close.

In the Environment tab of the Render pane, you can check "Environment Blur".
But if you're getting fish-eye with your camera and don't want it, why do you not want to change the focal length (and focal distance of course)?
I tried the environmental blue but it doesn't seem to do anything. The only way I can seem to get the HDRI to make the stars distant is to use the camea and use the focal lenght, but when I set it enough to make the stars distant is when I get the fish eye view.
Instead of adjusting the focal length to make the stars blur, try adjusting the f/stop (aperture). Set your focal length to give you the composition you want, then adjust the f/stop to get the desired depth of field. You can see the two planes converge to either side of the focal point.
