How Do I ?????

I made some textures, basically an experiment to learn how to save the textures and have them useable in both Daz and Poser. I am using Daz 4.5 (the good one), put folders in runtime/libraries/pose and in runtime/textures and added the images I made in the texture folder. Now I need to know how to save these. I tried looking online but everything I came across is either for the Genesis model or requires some other program or is for an older program. I also tried looking around the program to see if I could figure it out on my own...no luck.

All I need is what steps to take or a link to a tutorial that explains it all.

I made the mats and now I need to have them saved for use in Poser and Daz, but only have Daz installed, so I need to know how to use Daz to save the textures I made for use in both programs.

ah! now i had asked that very question only a couple of days ago. :D
I'll find the link to my post that had the answers, but basically, if you are making mats for poser, you need poser. There is a little program that will make them for poser, but as someone said, if you're making Poser mats, you need to make sure they are GOOD ones. Let me get the link.

Surface settings work very different between Poser and Studio. There is no point in saving a Studio material preset in a Poser format as it wont look right in Poser.

As Jestmart stated, if you want surfaces to look right in both DS and Poser you have to create the materials separately in each software. While some Poser materials sort-of work in Daz Studio the reverse is almost entirely incompatible and just looks plain ugly when you load meshes. I own both Poser and Daz Studio, though I use Daz mostly. Currently none of my DS materials will even load in Poser, and the many Poser materials I can load into DS lose a lot of their overall quality due to the difference in settings.

In my opinion, if you really want the extra detail in Poser, I suggest you give it to a Poser user to create the materials for you.

Ok I think I am not explaining myself properly here.

I used Paint Shop Pro to make some textures for an outfit, using the templates provided. I know that with D2 and D3 you could make the folders, place them where they need to be and then using daz, load the textures onto the outfit and then save them, and create a thumb for them. Then you would take those folders and zip them up and share them. I need to know how to do this with 4.5? I haven't made a texture for anything in over two years so I don't remember how and I know there are changes in the new version.
