Goodbye to a great creator! - Tab (Y_Personal)

I noticed today, when looking for my favorite "Girls Room" prop by Tab (which led to a quick "what's new" search at Pixiv and ShareCG) that Tab (aka. Y_Personal) has taken down all of their freebies and files  crying   Definitely one of the best freebie creators we had!  Over on ShareCG, it looks like this message was left:

"I stopped sharing my files as I could no longer spare time for support.  Thank you for everything. smiley"

I wish I could've said "thanks" before they left!  Not sure how to get in touch with them.  Did a great service to the community and will be missed!  Created excellent products!  heart  ...and I apologize if I am "late to the party" on realizing this!

(You can see a list of some, not all, of the items made by Tab over the years here: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:Tab )

Well, that's super disappointing, They made some great clothes for men. I hope they are going on to bigger and better things.

Bummer. Just goes to show how time consuming support can be. One of the main reasons I stopped modding for one game community was there became too many global mods for ir which meant that my addons had to be compatible with them all and it became a support nightmare

Well, that's a bummer! I downloaded a few of Tab's items and they're high quality.

I wish I could contact him somehow and donate for a zip file of his stuff (as-is, no support needed), but he doesn't seem to have an email.

Either way, I wish him well in his current pursuits!

A little Tab tribute, using his Girls Room and PJ's!

I'm drawing a blank.  What were some of the things he formerly offered?

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Best wishes for Tab's future. And I agree they made a lot of very useful, quality freebies. Thanks, Tab, from Frank.

In case Tab ever sees this, my thanks too.  The Tshirt and Pants are so everyday useful.  Happy trails Tab.

I'm a bit surprised anyone ever asked for support for any freebie.

Using a power strip with a timer might be a bad idea for charging a notebook.  It might be not on when you really need it.

Why wouldn't they? I've often gotten support type questions about my freebies, and they're just rigged props. Clothing, with all the various body shapes, has to be even more complicated.

Because they are free gift and time is money. It'd be different if they said support questions welcome for the writeup on the freebie product. Guess they should have stated in the product description 'no support'.

I always gave support when needed on my freebies, and I do have a few, spread over 17 pages on my site.

OH, I'm not at ALL talking about folks like you barbult....lol. And I don't mind when it's a problem with something I've uploaded. I mean, I'm not gonna upload something that's broken and let it stay broken or not help someone that has a simple question ;). I'm talking about those who think that because YOU made it and THEY downloaded it, they get ask for outright hand-holding or for you to add even more to the freebie (like you didn't supply enough free stuff) - and they do exist ;). Support is one thing....entitlement is another. I assume that people who download free stuff already know the basic functions of the program it was made for, but apparently some folks want you to teach them to use not only the freebie, but the rest of the software. I barely have time for the freebies that I do make :P. And I'm not trying to be mean either...it's just that my time means as much to me as anyone elses. Maybe Tab was inundated with questions or maybe people were using their freebies in a way that they didn't want them used. I really don't know, but I've seen creators come and go and sometimes it's because the aggravation outweighs the rewards (knowing you gave someone something they can really use and like).

I agree with AllenArt.  I give support when needed. But you can get people contact you who expect you to teach them how to use the item or even how to model. Giving the freebies should be enough. That takes up a lot of my time.

Is there anywhere we can download the items again? I'm specifically looking for the backpack for some fan art
