FAQ Clairification

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

the FAQ States as follows

Q. What if I am using 2D renders or “sprites” in my game?
A. All of the content available at the DAZ 3D Store is covered by the standard EULA which allows 2D renders including sprites as well as rendered animations or movies.

Does this mean that if I render the object to a 2d sprite, instead of a 3d model there's no additional purchase necessary or are they saying I still need to buy the indie license?

You do not need a Game Developers Licence if you are only using the rendered images of your 3D content, only if you intend to use 3D models themselves in your game.

Any renders that you make from 3D content that you buy at the DAZ Store, are yours to do with as you please, including use in games. There used to be one exception, the Anne Marie Goddard model (clone) I think it was called, I'm not sure if it is still available.
