Weird Screen after first using Skin Builder 3

I tried out Skin Builder 3 for the first time, and after I clicked a button, every time I move the screen around or change clothes or textures, I get this weird screen, which starts off with a grey figure with grey clothing, and then it appears as if it is doing an automatic render, only it is not a render.  Could someone please help me on how to fix this problem to display the scene screen without the automatic render?

Here are a couple of screenshots to illustrate my problem, in order of events. How do I revert the screen to not display the grey avatar at first when positioning the screen, changing clothes, or adjusting body parts?

Also, to explan further, and with an illustration below, I did get this weird screen where grid lines shoud display in the render area, and they don't.  I got rid of Skin Builder 3 yesterday evening, but the problem still exists.  Is there any way I could fix this so that hte grid lines still display within the window?

Also, there is a slight increase in lag on my computer since I started having this problem.

  • I am thinking that uninstalling and reinstalling DAZ Studio is the only route to go in this case.  At least I backed up everything on my external hard drive, so I can restore them after I reinstall.

In the first post it looks like Skin Blender is still running, I don't have it so can't really say, but try clicking on the Default button at the top of the Environment window and set it back to the Default settings.

You are using the nVidia Iray preview mode. The Viewport goes to Smooth Sahded view while the modified scene data is sent to Iray, then switches to a low-iteration Iray render. Click the Iray icon next to the camera/view picker button to select another mode, or press ctrl 9 (cmd 9 for mac) to switch to Texture Shaded.
