hoping it's the same heroes cast
I think the only Avenger they've ever recast so far has been Bruce Banner/Hulk in his solo movies. I think they'll all be back for Avengers 2. Big success and big MONEY are hard for an actor to turn down. :)
Thor has a posse?
don't tell me he's gonna go for Portman over this Xena like lady? -
Jaimie Alexander woww she's totally gorgeous
foo foo
she's Lady Sif, a war goddess
I love mushroom swiss burgers. It's hard to find a good one around here. There used to be a place in my old city, years ago, called Burger Chef. They made a great mushroom swiss burger. I think Burger King either became them or bought them out. But they don't make the mushroom swiss burger, except on rare occasions. Oh, well.

Darn, now I want a mushroom Swiss burger! The nearest place is Frou-Frou Burger (not it's real name) and it's TEN BUCKS!!!
Well, I shop Monday night on the way home, I'll buy mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and whole wheat buns!
My only issue is space - I have ONE cookpan (deep dish frypan) and 2 burners, the kitchen is very small, but functional. I should take pics of my place and post 'em, I feel like I'm in a Tokyo hotel cell (lol)! But there's plenty of room to create BURGERS MADE WITH CHEESE AND MUSHROOMS!

My damn air conditioner is not working again. They were just out to fix it last Monday. It is freezing up from what I can tell. There is ice on the pipe
AAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :ahhh: :ahhh: That sucks!
She could be my shield-maiden any day!!!!!!
Frank, please excuse me if you've already done these things. I'm assuming we're talking about a window mounted unit.
Turn off the AC and let the ice melt.
If you know where the air filter is, (usually behind the front baffles) take it out and clean it. Most are a spongy material that you can just rinse with tap water and squeeze out until the rinse water is clear. Let the filter dry while the Ice is melting.
Then replace the filter if the ice has finished melting. Icing up usually results from a lack of sufficient airflow over the coils (pipes).
If it doesn't work after this, keep in mind that ACs do have a limited lifespan. You might want to start shopping for a new unit; they may be more affordable than you think. The prices on many appliances have fallen quite a bit, and are more efficient energy-wise (I think you mentioned this unit was 10 years old?).
Also, while you have the filter out...and it's still a little bit moist...put it in the microwave for several seconds, to kill any fungus and microbes. I'm not sure how long, though. Maybe 8 to 10 seconds. Be careful removing it, it will be hot. They even suggest sanitizing toothbrushes this way.

Whine - IDL in DS 4.6 sure slows things down.
Non-whine: but dang it sure looks good!
Screaming Stones cliffs loaded, scary background loaded, rocks re-textured with DS shaders, IDL light added. If this looks good, it's time to load up the eyeball garden, and then tentacles!
The WAR VIXEN is last as I'm going to create her separately and merge her into the main scene. I'm going to hang on to her as a character in case I want to (ab)use her in other scenes.. I need to learn the best way to save and manage custom characters, anyway, for my other projects.
Slow slow slow.. good time for a nap! Back later!
Complaint... can't get the nice muscly Gia while everything is on sale.
Non-complaint... at least I've got muscles for Genesis 2. :d
Not sure if Portman is out, or there just wasn't room for her in the Avengers (I think they mentioned she went somewhere).
Gia stuff is cool but I cannot get her right now.
Not sure if Portman is out, or there just wasn't room for her in the Avengers (I think they mentioned she went somewhere).
agent coulson told Thor they took her somewhere safe.
if they'd asked me to help cast, lol, i woulda recommended Summer Glau to play Jane.
i hope Thor 2 is better than this.

I hate to say it but the Angus Mushroom Swiss burger from Mickey D's isn't half bad. A bit pricey for a Mickey D burger but still it's not $10, even with fries and a drink.
What exactly are you looking for? Clothing, hair or just a properly aged character?
No Sex Pistols tracks then
...given how extreme much of popular music of 2050s/60s is said to have become in various supplements (particularly in the UK and other parts of Europe), the Sex Pistols would actually be rather tame in comparison (personally speaking, there are several of their songs that I like). Think of popular music 70 - 75 years ago from today. It as predominantly dance music (the Big Band Swing era) which granted at the time, was considered by some circles of society to be "inappropriate". It's was considered "old folks" music by my generation and many of us are now pushing 60 ourselves.
in 2060, Music of the 80s - early 90s likely might be seen in a similar light
"...I used to remember me grandmum saying she liked to listen to this old pre-crash band, oh, what were they called? Oh yes, Suicidal Tendencies. Cheeky name."
One of the trends in popular music in Leela's time is an outgrowth of the 80s hardcore Punk and Thrash Metal movements. It takes elements of those two and combines them with hard rock, industrial, dark electronic/techno often played at the decibel level of a space shuttle launch with lyrics that primarily sing (or scream) about hate, anger, revenge, and despair (sometimes referred to as "Slammin" or "Slamming" music). Of course in a fairly dystopic setting like that of the Shadowrun RPG, world it definitely has it's place.
I also could see an outgrowth or Rap (not as much in vogue during the days when the RPG was in it's 3rd edition which is the timeline Leela's story is set in) as well but again with much more of an edge than it has today as again it would be a reflection on the society of the time.
...wish we had them up here. The closest is in Arizona. Long way to go for a good burger made with cheese.
All we have here are either the normal big chains (ugh) , Pubs (hit and miss), and "hoity toity" bistros with linen tablecloths and snooty waiters that charge absolutely outrageous prices. This is why I just decided it's better to make my own.
...but there are days when I'm out & about and really could go for a well made Burger with Cheese, a big slab of sweet onion, pickles, tomatoes and of course, bacon.
I hate to say it, but we're being over-run with nsnootyburger operations! They have local craft brews (good), but then eight-nine dollar burgers no better than a Whataburger! Needless to say, these places do NOT get my business!
Eight dollars for a burger with cheddar.. effing insane! My bacon cheddar burger with pickled jalapenos AND a huge garden salad (which lasts 2 meals) was just nine bucks with tax! Not cheap as McDs, ut a darn sight better! :-S
...try 14$ - 18$ which is what many of those places charge here, and that's just for the burger. Salad, spuds, soup or whatever else is your fancy will easily tack on another 5$ - 7$. Crikey I could get a nice steak with all the trimmings for that and still have enough left over for a tip. Of course many of these joints are the type of place which prides themselves on artistic presentation (you know, that 3" x 3" square of whatever you wanted on a bed of Organic Romaine Lettuce with a couple pearl onions drizzled lovingly with some kind of hioty tioty sauce, topped with a sprig of Organic Parsley that costs 25 - 30$) rather than actually feeding you.
A big trend here is what is called "small plate" (basically just a marketing ploy to charge for about half of what you should be getting). A few blocks away is this Cajun place which follows this ideal. the food is good but way too expensive for the little amount you get. In my book, Cajun dining means eat up and eat hearty. At this place that would cost me over 30$ without tip or drinks.
You wouldn't believe it, but I did 3 weeks work experience in a aged care facility just over a year ago, and one of the residents there was I kid you not a member of the Beatles management team. She moved to my town from Sydney, and wow she has heaps of photos and stories.
...super!
I saw them back in Milwaukee, WI in 1964. My mum love them . We had all the albums,45s, books, subscriptions to teen magazines, and stood in line to see both Hard Day's Night and Help when they ere released. My two favourite albums are Rubber Soul and Revolver.
I prefer something closer to home, and that I can still listen to:
The Ramones
I still listen to "I Wanna Be Sedated" at least once a week.
Ramones!
Right now I'm listening to Wagner, Overture for Tannhauser.. :blank:
...you should hear it on the organ.
I have an old LP with several Wagner transcriptions for organ including Ride of the Valkyries (which is oh so appropriate) and Der Mesitersinger Overature performed on the massive instrument at St John the Divine in NYC.
...really kicks bum especially with all that natural reverb of the stone walls.

Mainly a decent upper-middle-age character. I have steampunk clothing for M4, even decent gear, but most of my M4 characters aren't upper-middle age (which is where Adam Clayton, the hero, is).
Maybe I just need to look more.. I'm kind of out of it today.. but all my current M4 men are in their mid to late 20s/early 30s, not upper 30s/early 40s.
it's soo sad scene where Thor can't lift mjolnir.
so far the only quotable in the movie: i'm not dying for 6 college credits
I am trying to think of a plan

That's freaking insane!!!!! I mean, I make good money but I'm not paying $14+ for a BURGER!!! For that I can eat 3 times at Whataburger, or get enough ground sirloin and ingredients to make 4-5 burgers on my own!!!!!! :bug:
Yeah, we have those "small plate" places here too. I avoid 'em like the plague. I don't know if this is Old Man Syndrome but, which I don't need maga portions on my plate I don't expect to leave a place hungry if I drop $20...1 :ahhh:

..I remember Burger Chef. There was on on Division St. in Stevens Point WI a block form the college campus. Used to go there a lot., much better than the "mystery meat smothered in deception " gravy they served in the dining hall.
I also remember there was a Sandy's there as well which was bought out by Hardee's in the early 70s.
Burger Chef was also bought out by the parent company of Hardee's in the 1980s

I have a few Bach organ-and-chorus pieces that are breathtaking.. great stuff to listen to while rendering or writing! I should probably get more when I add money to my prepaid card, the heat of the Summer is here and that means hide indoors, read, write, render, and listen to music!
Wagner on organ.. I bet it's amazing! Sounds cooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllll..
Right now: Strauss waltzes!
Cooking up 3 smoked bratwurst to top the rest of my salad with! That and diet ginger ale for dinner... Nirvana!
Rendering a screaming cliff face with tentacles and eyeball monsters.. it's going to take a while. So far, it looks.. creepy. :bug: Tomorrow it's time to create.. WAR VIXEN!!!
The big decision.. play her for real, or camp the Hell out of it? Who am I kidding?!?!?! CAMP IT TO THE MAX! :P

I had one once - pricey for McDs, but yes, pretty acceptable in the cosmic scheme of things. There's a McDonalds where I change buses for the commute home, maybe I'll drop in Monday and get one if I don't just give up and make my own.
I think I need a second cooking pan - maybe a grill pan or a 1qt sauce pan thing. I think I have room...
...If you are not using Genesis there is a morph expansion called The Man in the Mirror for M4 by Virtual World/Daz (do it's also a DO item) which is a set of 20 head and body morphs for more "ordinary" looking guys. A couple would make good looking "goons" for a PI story.

Oooh, those would definitely be useful! Wishlisted!
I don't know my way around Genesis enough to use it for anything I'm working on right now - I have the right clothes/characters for V4 and M4, and one of theVicky Chronicle characters is an A3 character.. now, I forked over for all the GenX plugins for Gen3 characters but haven't had a chance to sit down and fight the battle to see what happens. Maybe next week, but for now I'm planning on V4/M4 for the characters and Genesis for the monsters and occasional Bad Guy.
A look at my little one-room abode! My kitchen, my compy/TV station, and my Shelf Of Buddies!!
