ROLLERBALL! they even made a remake of the movie

I saw the original - super violent commentary on corporate greed and power. Never saw the remake.

yeah, just what the doctor woulda prescribed. is B-movie time. or would it be C

oh, what's her name, Becky? Becky Stamos be one sexeh dudette. ... or are they hipsterettes these days

who needs Becky, we have Vickii

This talk of Rollerball and thinking about violent game movies made me think of "The Blood of Heroes", staring Joan Chen and Rutger Hauer, among others. The movie doesn't get much play but I always enjoy it. Anyone else seen it?

back to sleep or make cawffee? and breakfast, warm whole wheat tortilla, scrambled eggs, cheddar, and tomato :)

hmm, corn ears i have to cook today, before goes bad. is too much for breakfast.

...beat ya, was up until 03:15 troubleshooting skydome issues. Kept getting this grid pattern while rendering.

Oooooh, I've seen that! I ended up killing the skydome and moving on, nothing I did seemed to help. Hateful grid thing!

...the odd thing is, when I use it with a UE light set like Cloud9 it shows up. when I set up my own UE it doesn;t but the scene is usually too dark and the shadows are off. See.s a skydome must also also a light emitter so I have to figure that one out. Looked at one of the Cloud9 domes in the Surfaces tab and all the SSS parameters are there as well. Have to sit down later and mess around with that. as I recently figured out how to set up an Azure Skies (LDP2) dome for use in 4.6. I just like the details DreamLight puts into their skydomes better as they don't lose the clean look when scaled up.

Warm weather hath returneth to the Portland area so have to get out for a little while.

OK, after a lot of arguing, fighting, and otherwise swearing and cursing out loud (enough to peel paint off the walls), I have a new WAR VIXEN VS ZOMBIE NURSE drop! :vampire:

The ground is more ground-y, the eyeballs are watching, the back cliff is more plant-covered.. all good. Still fighting the shadows, which refuse to turn up (ugh). The eyeball surfaces need work as they should NOT be glossy at all.

    But here is today's work!

I need to play with skydomes more, it's a place where I'm lacking in knowledge and I depend on Other Peoples Presets(tm) to make things work. :-S

which skydome? it might be one O' those min bias settings

discovery - Troll comes with a lava body! squeeeee. he needs like a sexeh fishnet t-shirt
...one I created myself using a dome from Azure Skies with just the lights from Could9.

Never seen this until last night as in the last pic where I used both Cloud9 lights and my skydome, everything came out fine. Didn't change any settings but apparently now the base UE sphere in Cloud 9 causes the grid lines to appear for when I substitute it with my own UE sphere, it goes away. However, then the light balance of the scene is messed up as everything looks too bright and shadows are washed out. When I set up my own light set to mimic the Cloud9 one (a distant light for the sun and a specular light), everything then looks way too dark even though the intensity and sampling settings all match.

Whilst wandering Rendo, I found more WAR VIXEN wear! Check THIS thing out!

And look at that HUGE triple-bladed thing! IT looks like the triskelion from Krull, only 100 times bigger! :ahhh: She's gonna lose an arm and/or leg tossing that thing around! :ahhh:

It's on my wishoist JUST for that huge tr-blade death dealer. Imagine that flying at your face!!! :bug:

Why is it that SciFi/Fantasy artists create these hugely impractical weapons? I can't figure out any safe way to use that one.

That's why I like the good ol broadsword. Even if I forget to sharpen it, I hit you with 2-5 pounds of metal moving at any speed and you're gonna know it.

THis one wouldn't have worked for the Company I worked for, Has trousers. Need one with a nice jacket and a sensible length skirt.
