using poser's runtime for DAZ? (and a small question regarding chancing fingernails/toenails color)

Hi there,

is there a fast way to use my poser runtimes within DAZ3d, or there's not way around re-installing everything (years worth of content :O) spesifically for DAZ?

also, I'm trying to figure out how material work in DAZ. I've messed a little with the "surfaces" tab, but I can't seem to change the color of fingernails/toenails. It's chancing in the preview window, but not on the IRAY render...

Set the folder that holds the Poser "Runtime" folder as a Poser Format content directory - you can do that by right-clicking on the Poser Formats heading in the Content Library pane.

How are you adjusting? The Iray shader has a lot or porpeties that influence the final appearance.

  • Richard, you mean here? (screenshot attached).

as for the toenails color, this is what I tried:

I selected the toenails surface, then, at the surfaces tab, I tried chancing the transmitted color.
I also tried to change the translucency color as well. only the preview shows the changes, though...

Yes - you select the folder that contains the actual Runtime folder

Base colour would be the first one to change, you might want to reduce the amount of transmitted light for varnish (I would think it would increase opacity).

  • thank you! success! :)
