Was giong to upgrade to latest DAZ INstall Manager before updating to latest DAZ Studio - but the update for Install manager is not showing up when I start my current install manager (actually, there is one file that says ready for down load and is labeled Install Manager - but that gives me a corrupt file message each time I try to download.
So I went to my account tab, product list, and downloaded the latest, 64 bit Install Manager.
My current manager is 32 bit (though I'm on a 64 bit, Windows 10 pro system).
Should I just install the new Install manager or do I need to remove the old one first. Since the old one is 32 bit and new one 64 bit, I'm not sure they will particularly recognize one another (or give option to uninstall) - and I don't want to mess up my database.
Thanks for any help.

I thought the DIM was a 32 bit application. I run Win 10 64 and use the 32 bit DIM. Usually when you open it, it tells you if it needs to be updated. If you want to install a newer one, it will uninstall the old one.
You probably already had the current version, in 32 bit, which is why it wasn't updating. You can force it to update by holding down the Alt key and clicking the refresh icon, but since you have downloaded the stand-alone installer you might as well use that.
That's how it's worked for me previously - but wasn't sure if that would be the case now that there's both a 32 bit and 64 bit and they install into different folders. Anyone else know if I can just install the new install manager (64 bit) or if I need to do something with the old one first?
@RichardHaseltine - thanks Richard - sent my post before yours popped up.
Do I need to uninstall the 32 bit first or just go ahead with the 64 bit installation?
No harm in uninstalling, but I'm not sure if the 64 bit version stand-alone installer will remove the 32 bit version.
It doesn't automatically uninstall - I now have both versions installed, but I'm only using the 64-bit one.
