DS Content Library Won't Scroll

I've had a problem over and over again with the last few generations of DAZ. I'm not sure why this keeps happening, but I finally decided to see if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this. Sometimes I can just restart DAZ and it fixes the problem, but not always.
From the video I created of this problem, you'll notice that I cannot access anything in my content library menu because the menus won't scroll. I can click on the first button, but then I cannot access anything. Sometimes I end up not seeing anything at all. I tried using the up and back arrows, but that generally just puts me right back where I was at the beginning. Any ideas on fixing this issue are most welcome.

It's a workaround (possibly) rather than a fix, but have you tried opening the pane's option menu (the lined button at top-left of the pane in your video, or right-click the pane's tab) and selecting View as Tree instead of View as List? Which version of DS is this?
Richard:
I'm using DAZ 4.10.0.123
1) I have tried the View as Tree and View as List before, but that didn't change anything.
2) It randomly started working again last night. Again, I've yet to figure out any rhyme or reason for when this starts to happen and when it fixes itself.
3) Like I mentioned previously, this isn't the first version of DAZ I've run into this problem with. Usually, it eventually corrects itself, but thought I would record it last night because I thought someone may know why.

I've had this issue several times as well. Nice to know I'm not the only one. It started showing up a version of two ago for me. It has happened on both the current Public version (I think that's the right term for the non-beta version) and on the current Beta version. Usually the workaround that Richard suggested fixes it, but in the current beta version recently it didn't. I even tried restarting DS in the alternate modes, then switching back several times, but no joy. I resigned myself to using one of the other modes, but TBO it felt really cumbersome, Then a few days ago, I thought I'd try switching back and It was actually working again.
It's one of those things I haven't felt that I should file a ticket on, because I simply can't reproduce it when I want, so I have have no idea what might be causing it (and as we know, typically unreproducible glitches are virtually impossible to track down). My system is a laptop with a 970M, running Win 7 (Intel processor) just incase this is something similar to what Jason is using.
Could it be a glitch in the Workspace layout you are using? Maybe try saving your Workspace (Window/Workspace/Save Layout As...) so you can easily reload it after experimenting. Then select a different Workspace layout (Window/Workspace/Select Layout...) and see if the problem also happens there. To get your saved layout back, just select it in that same Select Layout dialog.
Another thought is maybe it is related to your screen size. Does your screen meet the minimum recommended size (whatever that is??)? I'm not sure why that would make the problem intermittent, though, so it is probably a red herring.
Another thought. I use the Side by Side view of the content library. Have you tried that one?
I've had that issue as well. The only thing I've ever been able to do to make it stop -- consistently, anyway -- is to save and exit studio, then restart. Sometimes it will randomly decide to fix itself, but I have no idea what makes it decide to start working normally again.
Have you guys put in a detailed support ticket?
this just started happening to me, I thought it was my mouse
No, but I couldn't give them enough information to troubleshoot anyway. As Dustrider says, it occurs randomly and I can't make it recur, the logfile doesn't really say anything when it happens, restarting Studio makes it go away until the next time unless it decides to go away on its own, also randomly. What can they do with that?
It's been happening for at least the last three public builds, I think; I haven't done a beta in years.
And as far as I can tell, the only thing I have in common with Dustrider's system is Windows 7. My system is a desktop that's otherwise nothing particularly like theirs.
Hi folks,
This is not a fix but resolves the issue for that instance without requiring a restart of DAZ.
Right click on any of the library branches and click on refresh. This reloads the entire content library tree and you will now have the option to scroll and expand again.
I hope this helps,
David
That's interesting, dw191062,. I haven't experienced the problem myself (knock on wood), but if that works for others it may give a good clue to what is going on. If the interface or tab view is not refreshing properly on its own, that would explain the behaviour, although it doesn't explain why it isn't refreshing. For those who might be submitting a support ticket/bug report I would suggest trying dw191062's suggestion, and including that info if it works, as that may help focus the issue.
Thank you David. This still works on fixing the library scroll in Daz3d.
