Well, I give up. I cannot find them anywhere. I sure didn't see them in the zip from Install Manager either.

What software? In DS they probably are located in Content Library > Poser Formats > [libraryname] > Figures
DS. I looked. It isn't there.
Did you download with DIM or from the Product Library? It may be that there are two zips?
From DIM. First time I ever had this issue.
There is no Geometries Folder in the folder that was downloaded with DIM.
It may be that there are supposed to be two zips, a Poser version as a StudioCF with just material presets, and the Poser version is mis-tagged.
Are you talking about this? http://www.daz3d.com/the-reading-room
In this case you have a Poser format AND a DS format zip to install.
Features
7 Figures (.cr2 and .obj):
Preload
Reading_Room
Ceiling Lights
Chair
Curtains
Side Table
Wall Lights
3 Camera presets
3 Light preset
D|S material presets <--- See? it is only the material presets, so you have to load the Poser cr2 and then use the DS material preset</p>
Yes, I know there are 2 folders. My question is why did DIM not download and install it right? I see if I turn on Poser 9+ in the Dim Download settings, it shows the PS installer, but I haven't had to do this with other Daz products for them to install right. I really don't want to double install things.
Did you tell DIM you only want DS files? Maybe it is a bug in DIM ... (sorry, I don't use it ...)
edited my above post before your last post loaded.
I see - what about renaming your thread title (by editing the first message) to something like "DIM problem with Poser and DazStudio Companion files".
What is annoying is that not all products need the poser installer to work in Daz. But, DIM won't tell you this. You just get them all and not just the ones you need. So, I will just have to read the full page descriptions of all the stuff from before and ahead now. I guess case annoyingly closed. Thank you for the replies.
This is a one Product mistake, the DIM should install ALL files needed for the Version of software you have selected. If you get a Item using DIM and it does not work properly please send a ticket to SALES for the item. When fixed the Update file/Files will appear in your DIM and that should be all that's needed.
As you can see here I get all needed files as long as they are set up for DIM properly. Only DS4.6 selected as my program.
Thank you for the info. Should I still send in the bug or do they know now about it?
Opps... I forgot to Report it, You mind sending a ticket? I'm sort of checking the threads for More sales errors and Spam right now.
I’ve just received word that the tags have been fixed—can you confirm this?
Yes I'm bringing this back from the bowels of history...
I have six files located in my Content Library, and All six give me a "Something must be selected" error when I click on them... Any word on the missing install stuff?
I think you are trying to load DS material files - which means you have to load the things from the Poser runtime first and then apply the Dazstudio materials.
That would be great, If the six mat-apply files in my screen-cap were not the only ones I could locate anywhere.
Mark128 said something about forcing DIM to think I have Poser for that to work. If that is the workaround, I need a beginners guide to do that?
No, you don't need Poser.
I am afraid I can't help with SmartContent, I have too much content that is not smart, so I am using the Tree view ...
But the room should be in \Runtime\Libraries\Character\Read_Room\!Preload.cr2
where is " \Runtime"??? I didn't see that path in the Content Library? under Daz or Poser, I must be blind?
Poser ... I hope somebody who uses smartcontent can help you!
Progress, I found three cameras...
If that is only in smart content, then the install is broken. It is nowhere in the smart tab thing. Even after importing metadata.
(edit)
Check that, also three light settings. And the lights do load.
Great!
Now go to the "Figures" below Cameras!
Thank you Mark128, and Kerya. In the one place I wasn't looking. That 'Figures', lol.
Hooray!
There is the little problem that the folder is named Character for the computer, but Poser and DazStudio are calling it Figures.
Why simple, when there is the ability to create confusion?
LOL
Confusing directory folder names, and it must take the Content Library a really long time to ketch up to what is installed and show it.
I have been systematically going threw these folders for the past 48 hours, and they just appeared there with a lot of other stuff.
Actually I noticed this in the New Users thread. I thought you were told to use Content Library Tab and Poser formats for the set. It shows as installed and has the whole time..
Also While here look at the DIM image again. See that check mark? That says the item is SMART if a item does not have that checkmark it is Old Format only, meaning Content Library Tab and most often Both Format folders for full use of the item in DAZ Studio.
SO the Smoking Room looks to be Smart and Poser both.
the Smoking Room is in the "DAZ Studio Formats" tree, and the chair and table (etc) are in the props category of the smart tab thing. I actually loaded the full room from the smart tab (Environments category), looked around in the 'View Field', then went back to this thread...
Te recap my confusion with the Content Library.
\Runtime\Libraries\Character\
as it appears in the installed paths list, is not exactly in the content library (There is No "Runtime", "Libraries", nor "Character" folder), there codes for other names.
"Runtime", = "Poser Formats"
"Libraries", = "My Daz 3D Library" tho I have been informed that can be different on other computers.
"Character", = "Figures"
There is a path named
Poser Formats\My Daz 3D Library\Figures
Thank you Mark128, Kerya, and Jaderail.
So from the looks of it, The Reading Room dose load, and possibly render (I haven't tried that yet). It's just buried in the bowels of the Content Library, where most new individual will never find it, lol.
(edit)
And it takes a very long time for the Content Library to show stuff, after it was installed, just adding to my confusion. I did look in the "Figures" folder in the "Poser Formats" path before posting to this thread, and there was only a hand full of things in there (mostly V4 stuff).
The 'Libraries' folder inside Runtime does not relate to a user's library (or libraries) folder(s) as defined in DS's Content Directory Manager. It simply means it is the folder that any user facing files and their folders will be in.
