Hair destroyed by HDRI

Hi guys,

I'm getting a very strange issue with iRay and HDRI, as you can see below the hair are "destroyed" by the HDRI map where the light is more strong.

Is there a way to fix it?
I thought to put a "light catcher" between the hair and the hdri but I hope there's a real solution...

Hair: Vertigo Ponytail
Shaders: Preset or Custom
Smoothing: Enabled or Disabled
HDRI: Iradiance indoor
Render: iRay
Filters: None
Burn HL: 0.0001
DoF: Yes or Not

Turn down the intensity of the HDRI and compensate using Tone Mapping. Also try moving the white area out of shot unless you want it there.

Is the white area a window or a white light panel? If it is a white light panel then it isn't supposed to be seen in the render if it is a window then there should be something showing in it that looks like outside. Turning down the intensity should bring that out.
