FBX and parented items

parenting items in DS4 and FBX export has been broken in DS4 since it came out
things export in default not local co-ordinates.
It worked in DS3
I can now confirm using the 3ds Max trial from Autodesk that indeed imports with any scene items at default position thus making the import of a keyframed animated scene with out rigging and vertex morps impossible.
I already knew this in iClone and Carrara.
I can understand the need for props to revert to default position for some uses but an option to export stuff in local co-ordinates is sorely needed.
I have .duf and other options fortunately for Carrara but getting an animated set up using keyframed transforms and parenting into another software almost impossibe from studio.
I can from Carrara.
what this means is scenes with props cannot be exported set up except as obj
which is useless for animation.
One has to animate everything again in the target softwars from scratch or use obj
(which fortunately I found Max like Carrara allows the option of importing all meshes seperated, not so lucky with iClone)
I will not be using Max in future (beyond my budget) but this a studio export issue and applies to any other software using FBX import be it Unity, Unreal game engine, Houdini and countless ithers one might want to get a set up scene into.
I am only questioning because it DOES work in DS3!
what got broken?
can it be fixed?
