I am using DS 4.6 and I have loaded genesis 2 with gia dialed in with the greek goddess outfit and one light set, no background and when I went to just check the morphs on the outfit when I selected the top and then went to morphs I got the not responding thing that a program gives you sometimes. and it lasted for several minuted and then when It cleared and I tried again i got the same thing, and every time I try to do something in DS it does it and keeps me from getting anything done at all.

Anyone else have this problem ever? Oh operating system is Win7 and it is a quad core machine with 4 gigs of ram so it can handle DS no problem.

EDIT: Well damn I had hoped that there was something I could do to fix it and I was hoping that the thing would wait until I got an answer but I just had to kill DS so the character I had built up (yeah started with Gia's body, the face was all mine though) Oh well guess ill have to make sure to save before doing anything else next time....

Are you getting a yellow progress bar in the lower right when this happens? If so, check the smoothing options for the clothing and turn Interactive Update to OFF if it's on.

Nope that is not it. This happens even when you try to pull down a drop down box in the upper left..

In addition to what Vaskania said above Sub-D on Genesis found in the Parameter Pane when Genesis is selcted under Mesh Resolution, can slow down things when posing the figure or clothing. Turn it OFF when constructing your scene and turn it back on at render time.

Also in the Preferences interface, Edit > Preferences or F2, you could try a different setting for the Display Optimization function in the Interface Tab. I get better results on Best some find Better a good option too. At default it is iset to None.
