Skin Texture Problems

Does anyone have any idea what is happening here? I make a perfectly good character and when I reload it later, I get skin textures as shown below.

Everything seems to be pointing to the correct texture in the surfaces tab. I'm thinking it is a memory problem (only working with 3GB) since I usually see it in a busy scene, however, I can change the texture files and it displays OK - but not with the originals.

I would appreciate any advice.

Character has the wrong UVmap for the skin you are using. What figure, what skin, and what UVmapping does the character have?

Thank you for the quick reply. The character is Victoria 4.2. The skin texture is from Kay (purchased from Daz) and the UV mapping, if I'm reading it right, is "default."

The UV map idea makes sense, but I don't understand why I can sometimes load the character with no problem in a low memory environment (seen below), but if there are too many other objects I get the texture problem.

When you Load a Scene the Last things loaded are the Textures, so if short on Ram this could/will happen. The Load order is Meshes All, then Morphs ALL, then Translations ALL, then Lighting ALL and then Textures by Item order (Name in Alpha order) so if you hit a Ram issue V4 is at the END of all that texture wise.

Thank you. It seems the answer is more memory.

You could try Loading the Scene without the V4 and then Merging the V4 into the Scene. That might force proper texture orders.
