Daz cannot locate files etc.

Hi, so figures that I have created and then saved as either figure presets, or as new scenes where I have applied different texture files and loaded texture maps before saving the scene are reporting that daz cannot locate files in the appdata/roaming temp folder and then my figures are loading in with either no face textures, or no torso textures. This is happening with every scene and I am constantly having to reload texture files.
The textures that I applied are in the my daz library and in the same folder as the stock uv and when I go to surfaces I can see them already populated in the list of textures.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? It keeps trying to find things in the temp folder. If this is going to happen every time I load a custom figure I will lose my mind. I have so far had issues when saving and having figure morphs revert to base model, and now this.
I'm on a brand new system I have a fresh install of all of my content and all user folders are default, everything that was done to a figure was done inside Daz and when saving I am using the Daz "save as" and it processes everything fine when saving. But when I later try to open a scene with a figure that has a custom map it loads without out its textures and daz reports it cannot locate files in the temp folder.

That sounds like a direct reference to the layered image composite, rather than the "recipe" for building the layered image from files in the /Runtime/Textures folder (or wherever they are). Are you using a utility to generate or modify textures for your figure?
If I use the Layered Image tool to create the texture look that I want (typically a tattoo), one of the things I do is to go to the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\temp folder and copy the file that LIE created into a place where it won't get lost. This has stopped me from pulling more hair out many times.
Then update the object's material in the Surfaces pane to use that saved texture file instead of the tmp file. Then when you save your scene or character or material preset, your saved texture file will be found and loaded automatically next time you open the scene or load the character or apply the material preset.
Hi, I only used Gimp. Also, I keep losing my figures shape, I had already posted a thread on this, it keeps going back to base genesis 2 male. And, the Brow Remover seems to be not applied when the figure loads even though I had masked the eyebrows to use one of the marketplace eyebrow props.
Ok, I can try that.
Ok, thanks guys. I will give all of this a go.
