Problem with dforce kernels

Just installed DS 4.10 on my Win 8.1 PC in order to try dforce.  When I go to start a sim, this is the msg I get:

it appears that the dforce kernels on your computer for "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600" have not been compiled or have changed and need to be recompiled."  So I tell it to go ahead, but after a couple minutes, it says: error initializing openCL kernals, followed by a lot of tears, screaming and profanity :(  My computer skills are pretty dim, but I did update my driver, but no love...any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

    sound like no openCl found

check if you install latest drive and openCl support
    google this > "Intel(R) "D Graphics 4600 openCl"

in simulation tab, use the ADVANCE to check if your video card is listed (and use it)

  • Thank you!!  Problem was solved by checking the ADVANCE in the sim tab - my processor is listed but I was using the wrong one.  Just ran my first sim - this is gonna take a while to learn, but at least it works, lol.  Again, thanks!

  • I have the same problem with 4.11 Beta (public build) and the AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics. I have 2 items listed under advanced, AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing Kalindi and the aforementioned card. Kalindi crashes after 3 seconds, forcing a program close, the 5200 gives the Initialization error after about 30 seconds. I have the latest drivers and verified that I have openCL 2.0. I am at a loss here......

Is it possible to recompile the kernel? Using GPU used to work fine but now it doesn't - limbs go though the clothing and everything turns to garbage. Tried a few dForce items with default settings and different poses - all the same. Switched to CPU, it asked to compile a kernel since I've only used dForce with my GPU so far and it works fine, but slower. If I switch back to GPU krenel the problem is still there. My guess is there's been some GPU driver or OpenCL update recently that messes things up with the old GPU kernel, but I can't find an option to recompile it. Any hints?

Which card and driver is this?

AMD Radeon R9 M395 on an iMac with whatever driver Apple have supplied if it really matters.

I just wanna know if it's possible to recompile. That's all.

I don't know of a way to force a recompile, no - in the past I thought it happened every time I switched from CPU to GPU or back again.

  • I have the same problem, but with my situation in advaced it only has "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @3.00GHz" and no option to select my GPU.

  • Same problem here Quatro 4000, switched to 4.12 today. Files that used to work don't work any longer
