Wound/blood help.

So I've been wanting to do comics and other such "art" pieces. One thing I decided I wanted to do is some vampire stuff. Aswell as some action oriented things. The options for blood/wounds is surprisingly sparce here, so I tried to make due. I've started by using this: https://www.daz3d.com/wound-makeup-artist-iray-for-genesis-3-female-s

I got it because of the prospect of being able to move the wounds around the body to place them how you like. This meant I could use say for example, bullet wounds as makeshift vampire bite marks. Below shows what ended up happening there.

For some reason when rendered, the marks were displaced. This is on G8 and the product is for G3, but, from what I can tell, there is no G8 alternative. Which really hampers things because I really don't want to have to go backwards and start using G3 for stuff, after I've already spent months building a G8 catalog. So, does anyone know if 1: I can make this product work correctly on G8, or 2: Have a good alternative? It's kind of important that I be able to place these wounds and the like where I want, rather than just a static immoveable thing.

    You might try https://www.daz3d.com/realistic-wounds-and-blood-for-genesis-3-male-s-and-female-s

This set uses LIE overlays, which means that you can adjust the exact positioning of the wounds in the LIE editor by adjusting the x/y offsets of the overlay.

I'm not sure how to use the LIE editor. The ones I used in the render, I just selected them in the surfaces tab and had the offsets there, but the ones you suggested, I cannot select them anywhere once applied. So how do I do that part exactly?

Here is some info I found in the Documentation Center Using the Layered Image Editor.

The acces to LIE is a bit hidden, you have to go to the Surfaces pane and if not already switch to the Editor tab. Now select the item and the surface(s) and look out for a property like Diffuse Color press the texture image showing in front and you get a dropdown menu with the Layered Image Editor as an option.
