Installing Daz3D using custom paths in the Install Manager causes assets to be unlinked?

I'm not sure if this is the proper location for this but I am having an issue getting DAZ working after using the install manager to install the assets to custom paths.

I must state that this was done because I have a SSD for my main partition and I did not want the content on the C Driver so I Created a custom structure on a separate drive to install all content to.

The steps taken are as follows:

The Install Manager was installed to the c drive.

Once installed I logged in and modified the options in preferences as follows:

Download Tab:
Download To is set to: E:/DAZ 3D/DazDownloads

Installation Tab
64 Bit Software: E:/DAZ 3D/Daz3D - 64Bit
32 Bit Software: E:/DAZ 3D/Daz3D - 32Bit
DazContent: E:/DAZ 3D/DazContent

After setting this I selected all content and hit install.

After launching the application i go to Smart Content->Figures and select Genesis i get the following:

"/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf"

Micheal 4 and V4.2 popups up:

The " support folder could not be found.

Xin Xin works
Aiko works

Basic child:
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Base/FBMBasicChild.dsf
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf

Basic Female:
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Base/FBMBasicFemale.dsf
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf

Faerie Works

Some material linking are off as well.

I do not know what I can do to fix this issue. Please advise.

Is DAZ Studio installed to E:/DAZ 3D/Daz3D? Or is it on the C Drive? If DAZ Studio is on C you should have only changed the Content install path not the other paths.

The applications are installed to the following respectivly.

    E:/DAZ 3D/Daz3D - 64Bit
    E:/DAZ 3D/Daz3D - 32Bit

I made sure that all paths were changed before doing the installs of any daz application or content.

Hmm... okay that's not the issue then. So poser type files are working V4 A4 ect... but not the DAZ Data types, Genesis?

Do you have the proper content library directory mapped in Daz Studio?

Edit->Preferences->Content Library Tab->Content Directory Manager Button. Under Daz Studio Formats you should have E:/DAZ 3D/DazContent listed. You'll probably want to list that under Poser Formats as well if you use Poser content downloaded with DIM inside of DS.

@ Admin yes it seems that all daz content is broken

@Sisca - I'll check this. Maybe its not adapted to the install manager? I did not manually install anything the manager installed all content.

This is probably your issue then. By default DS is set to look in your documents folder on your C: drive. You'll need to point it to the directory on your E: drive if you didn't do that. Same as you had to change the DIM defaults to the E: drive.

For a new install of DS (as opposed to an update) it uses the default content locations -- since you aren't using the default, you need t add your real content location in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, for both DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats.

Yes this fixed it. Thanks. I thought that would adjust based on the manager since the content would adjust correctly.
