V4 to Genesis 2

I find it rather poor that the seams were not looked at in QA, It was the first thing I looked at was the UV Seams and it stuck out right away.

Reason I'm not very happy is I got the V4 for genesis also and find out months down the line you have to pay to fix the UV's that were botched by Daz.

Which texture set is that, and what is your shading rate? Do you see the effect with other textures, or if you lower the shading rate? Have you made sure you are using the current version - several issues were picked up and addressed. I would be surprised if it was a general issue - lots of people have bought the product and (presumably) used it to render - and as I said some issues were picked up and corrected.

The 'Corrected UV' is for Genesis 1, not Genesis 2. The V4 for Genesis 2 was designed by MallenLane not Daz, and this appears to be a bug which should really be reported in the correct manner.

Sadly, it's a genuine UV error. I think many people don't notice it because it's fairly minor and often covered up by hair.

Richard its Reby Sky texture set I will test another texture set when I get some time to mess around converting all materials to Duf. why it could not be just like genesis I don't know.

Here are my render settings though I don't think the problem is that as in the old forum I used to advise people to change the shader rate.

Thanks for taking a look though Richard.

I checked on my copy of the V4 for Genesis 2 and the results are the same. It's definitely a bug, and I've filed a bug report as a result. Please check here for further information.

Yes that is what I said in my post for genesis.. ;)

What I am pointing out is the Creator and Daz's QA should have noticed this as it is a UV, first thing I do is check the Seams something I am sure was checked and noticed but still put out. I know it can be edited out after but should not need to. I just don't want to wait a few months for a vendor to fix what should not be there in the first place and charge me for it. The V4 for Genesis 1 UV should have been fixed by daz, I am not having a go at the vendor that did fix it as they need paying for the work they did to fix it, but it should not have needed fixing in the first place.

For me it makes me not want to spend money here as much, as quality of the product is slipping.

    Sal UK,

You might try removing the default G2 Texture set before applying the Reby Sky (V4 or V5?) textures. I have noticed that remnants of V5 Bree cause "seam line" problems and texture mismatches when you apply another texture without removing V5 Bree completely.

It's a flaw. It probably got introduced when I did the seam alignment pass in the last update. I fixed it, and will submit the update.

...thank you for catching and reporting this. Haven't purchased it yet but will next month when Zevo releases the Growing Up morphs/shapes for G2. Hopefully the revision will be made by then since I will be using a lot of the teen (both Gen4 and Gen5) maps I have as they are all based on V4.
