Can anyone assist me with how to cancel or destroy an animation in the timeline in DAZ Studio Pro 4.10 64 Bit? I have made a mistake and for some reason I cannot get rid of my animation to start over! Any help appreciated.Cheers

It is something that has confused me for years. What I do now is save a scene twice so that I can work on one and if that goes wrong I can return to my starting point. However, I still don't know how to reset the timeline so that there's no animated frames. If I try to clear the animation from the Parameters Menu, I usually end up with a base figure because all the morphs are reset to zero too - which is worse than useless.

You don't need to end up with everything zero'ed by using Clear Figure/Item. Select the Figure/Item and use Memorize Figure/Item on some frame. Then use the Clear Figure / Item and it resets back to the state you have memorized before on frame zero.

Memorize Figure/Items means you set all current property values on the figure/item to default. You also can limit the memorize to Shape or Pose only.

With memorize pose its a special case because if you only select the figure body (root node) only those pose related properties on the root node gets memorized like the body rotation, translation, scale and all Pose Control sliders that may be in use. To memorize a figure pose properly you have to go to the Scene pane select the figures body then right-click Select Children and use the Memorize Selected Items because all Children nodes selected now counts as Items not as Figure.

To speed this up you can simply right-click the viewport and choose Select All from the menu. Now execute Memorize Figure and Memorize Selected Items and then Clear Figure and Clear Selected Items.

I recommend also do this with the Items because everything like cameras, lights and props/objects falls into the category Items and you propably don't want them to reset to default or floating around during animation if you accidentaly made some keyframes by changing properties somwhere else than in frame zero.
