Textures rendering white

Periodically when I load a saved scene and I do a spot render or even a render, I notice that part or all of the texture (skin in this case) renders white, even though in surfaces all the settings are correct and textures are loaded. The only way to fix it is either to redo the materials or close and reopen the scene. But this is especially maddening if I have not noticed the problem until after posing and prepping the scene. I fear that if I save it, the scene will save with the problem. Is this issue at all common? It is fixable, so I have just dealt with it (and I am trying to make it a practice to save material settings for any saved character just in case.

This can be a problem the AoA's SSS shader. Locate your temp folder, find a "brickyard" folder inside it and delete this folder.
