Scan Results, Categorising and the Content Pane

Hello Everyone.

I've recently begun using the Scan Known Directories For Files feature which higlight new files in the Scan Results category, which is great.

Ive never used Categories though so I'm a little confused about what to do with the results in the Scan Results category.

So, if I dont want to use categories can I just delete the categories from within the Scan Results category without affecting my content?

Yes, a category is just links in the database, it isn't the files on disc.
