is it possible once you have dialed up a really boss genesis character in daz studo to export it for use in poser.
I realize that with out the dson importer and an advanced copy of poser pro, i wont get all of the really cool stuff that genesis can do in daz studio for use with poser but if its a figure of your dialed up character .is it possible to export that figure for use in poser , and if it is how do you do it ?

inquiring minds want to know

What version of Poser are you using?

Genesis will only work via DSON on Poser 9 or later.

CR2 export will also work, but again needs Poser 9 or later (and is not as flexible as the DSON Importer, though in Poser 10 you could use the native SubD on an undivided Genesis export).

im using poser 7 , and yes I do realize that to get all of genesis's benefits I do need to upgrade .
and honestly I don't need it to doo all the things in poser it can do in studio
I would like to be able to use a figure in poser that is shaped like the figure after being dialed up in studio.

You can export your figure from DS in OBJ format, and import it, but it will not be poseable inside Poser, just a static mesh.

If you have Poser Pro 2014, and a powerful computer, you can export full characters , with clothes.
I made a small tutorial to explain how to proceed.

It works with Poser Pro 2012 too, but you do need a good computer.

Look for an inexpensiver version of Poser 9. Amazon has some good deals as do several other sites. The DSON importer works in P9 and up.

You can also use the previously mentioned cr2 method.

Dimension 3D has a DSON loader script on his site for free that allows you to load dsf and duf files without Poser companion files. You do need P9 or better and DSON importer to use it.

if I use the hexagon bridge to export the figure and save it as an obj .
couldn't I then import that obj back into daz studo and use the figure creation and rigging tools to make it into a figure that would work in my current version of poser .
im looking for a way to use this in my current copy of poser , I know how cool the advance versions of poser pro are and I want 2014 however its matter of cashflow at the moment and it aint gunna happen any time soon

You could certainly export it from DS as an .obj and then rig it in DS using legacy (parametric) rigging (or in Poser, if your version of Poser has rigging tools).

becouse that sounds exactly like what I am wanting to do .

im so new to daz studio I am still kinda stumbeling around the how tos of how it all works
