[DS4.5RC2] Mouse control gone nutty?

Okay, I have a bit of a bizarre mouse problem -- whenever I try to use controls like that box-spinny-thingy, pan & scan arrows, sliders -- it results stuff like the program can't keep up with my movement, and "slips off" the control mechanism.

All other things in my system work just fine -- it does not exhibit this behavior in other programs (such as Photoshop etc). I also don't recall this happening often in the past, but suddenly it started doing it.

How do I fix it?

Uhhh, yeah, about this -- I've been testing, and it actually looks like the mousey has a problem with its widdle ear-bits; the problem is more pronounced in DAZ Studio, as there are long bouts of keeping the button pressed down, but now I had it freak out in Photoshop too.

So, time to go and get a new mouse...
