Cant Use Duf File

Hi Everyone I hope someone can help me. For sometime now ive been having trouble with using my files in DAZ. So I uninstalled everything and just let everything install in the default location. My other files seem to be fine but my Genesis 8 Female and male are not being recognized. So let me explain what is happening in more depth.
When I try to open the female model and male model this is what comes up (Could not open file:/Peaople/Genesis 8 Female/Genesis 8 Basic Female.duf File does not exist.)
So I right click it and choose (Browes to file location) and it takes me to where all my genesis files are. The genesis 8 female and male have their own indipendent file. If I open either the Female one or the Male one and click on the Duf. File it opens up Daz with the model there, however I am not able to apply clothing of hair or poses anytime I try to it Says (Would you like to save before closing scene)
Is there anyway that I can make Daz recognice the file so that it may open up and I may be able to use it and apply stuff to it.
Thank you
Izzy

What is the full path to G8F & G8M?
How did you install? If you right-click on Geensis 8 Starter Essentials, in the products tab of Smart Content or in the Products list in Content Library, does the menu include an Install command or an Uninstall command?
Hi Thank you Both for the quick response.
Here is the path for female and male
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 8 Female
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 8 Male
Ok so this is whats weird is that I can open my Female and Male into Vieport by double clicking in Smart content . But If I try to apply clothes or materials or pose it says (Would you like to save changes to the current scene before closing it?) I choose no because I dont want to save a duf. of a duf. I already have. And then once I choose no this message pops up (Could not open file :/People/Genesis 8 Female/Cloathing/Basic Wear Shorts.duf does not exist.) This pretty much happen for anything I choose.
However if I drag it into Vieport it works. This is a problem though Because I use to be able to do this without any problems. The same thing is happening with my Genesis3 the exact same problems. Here is the address.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 2 Female
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 2 Male
Now I have no problem with Genesis 3 male and female It works perfectly fine I double click inside of Smart content and they just pop up and I am able to apply clothing and poses etc. without dragging in the resource or having any messages pop up. This is the directory.
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 3 Male
C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 3 Female
Yes If I go to The products tab of Smart Content and I right click on either Genesis 2, 3 or 8 essentials they all of the option to uninstall.
Picture 1
-This is the model that I draged into Viewport and the clothing that I dragged into Viewport. And The message you see there is what I got when I tried to double click on the pose instead of dragging it on. It works if I drag the pose into Viewport. But I dont want that I want it to work like it used to. So I am willing to do what you need me to to try and figure this out. I am an artist and Use the models for referance.
-My presets and scenes are exporting into my D: drive but I didnt tell Daz to do that. I ust noticed that it was doing that. All of My saved poses and morphs are being saved here. But the original Genesis files are not on my D drive
You should not have the application files in the My Daz 3D Library folder.
The message asking about saving, as with the missing file error, implies an issue with the Content Management System. Since the right-click menu has an uninstall entry DS thinks they were installed via Connect, in which case it will look for those files in preference to the ones in the DIM install location. Try selecting the Uninstall option, then try reloading the content.
OH my WORD!!!! It worked!!!! I did it with both Genesis 2 and 8 and its working! Now I dont have to drag things in anymore! Thank you, your the BEST!
