Trying to make an articulated human skeleton

I feel as if this should be really obvious, but I cannot figure it out. I want to make a human skeleton figure, or prop. I mean one that can be manipulated, or articulated. I have found multiple skeleton models on the 'net, either in SKP or OBJ or DAE formats, but usually the figure does not appear in DAZ Studio 4 after import, and otherwise I cannot figure out how to make it an articulable figure.
Here are Dropbox links to some of the models that I DL'd and/or converted.

It really doesn't matter if you are using a figure which 'looks' like a skeleton, or a figure which looks like a human or a toon, they all need to be 'rigged' inside DAZ Studio to work inside that application.

Rigging is generally application specific, that means that the rigging only works in the application it was designed for. Figures of any kind which are rigged in 3DS Max or Maya or Blender, will not work inside DAZ Studio.

One of the PAs here at DAZ, Blondie9999, has produced a PDF document with a free model of a gingerbread man included, and it goes through all of the necessary steps to rig a figure inside DAZ Studio. I will see if I can find the link to the Product Page for you.

I hope that information helps a bit.

The name of the item is Rigging Original Figures in DS4 Pro, but I cannot find a link to it for now.

Please don't upload files to which you don't have the rights - unless a model has a readme that explicitly allows conversion and redistribution then you cannot convert and redistribute it.

Thanks, JimmyC_2009. I found the rigging tutorial here: http://www.daz3d.com/shop/rigging-original-figures-in-ds4-pro/

Richard: Regarding the posting of the sketchup derivatives, they are licensed. There was no reason to remove them. See Google's terms of service for Sketchup Warehouse:

It wasn't clear that they were Sketchup warehouse items - you merely characterised them as being found on the net.

Check post #13 ... it'll be a little while before I've got the rigging part done [can't run the computer in the heat waves] ... hopefully I'll have mine grouped this week ... rigged the following ... hopefully.

Okay. The rest is a WIP.

I have the images created for Part 2 ... have to edit them and all that. Covers more tips for grouping and uvmapping.

Part 3 will be rigging in D/S.

This is a beautiful tutorial. I particularly like that it is briskly paced and not boring. I have to say, though: I had no idea what I was getting into.

Thank you :-) I rather doubt anybody does ... but it feeds the creativity of our beings to make stuff.
