I am getting ready to do a clean reinstall of all my Daz apps, starting with Daz studio and syncd with Carrara and Hexagon.  what im trying to do is have all my assets, products, content etc and presets that appear in browsers of studio and carrara to use a dedicated drive, my 3D Library drive instead of my boot drive. Have DIM install to that drive. I beleive i had it partially working once. I know nothing of runtime folders and and all the enclosed folders within it and thats what im trying ti figure out. How to get DIM to install to that drive and the folder DAZ 3D Library and the folders in it, and still have studio and carrara recognise it. I might have to talk to daz or carrara tech help.I install all my apps to the start up drive and any libraries to a drive called yContent Library. (Attached is a shot of my drives and install manager and how I have it set up for installation.) Would someone direct me to the most effecient way to set it up. Do I need to create other folders or any missing? Ive been doing it trial and error but more errors than success. Also is there a way to get Studio to install its content library to my content library on a secondary drive instead fo its default location?  and if not how do I get Studio and Carrrara to recognise another location? I realise this is a lot to ask so any help would be much appreciated. I hope what I am asking is clear and makes sense. Thanx again. If attachments hard to read click on attachments and a larger size is available to read. Thanx again

The Hexagon path in the Applications tab of DIM looks wrong.

Hi Richard. A couple of issues - one, you currently have DIM downloading to your install library, not your download directory. Two, you do NOT want the same directory for both 32 bit and 64 bit software installation. I'm not familiar with the Mac, but I think I can assume no difference in pathing between Windows and Mac for these.

DIM will create DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4 directories under your 32 and 64 bit paths and install DAZStudio.exe there - the ONLY difference is what your upper level path is set to. So the way you have DIM configured you will clobber the 64-bit version of Studio if you ever install the 32 bit version. The same holds for Carrara and Hexagon when the 64 bit version is released.

Apparently it is different for macs, the folders can match

The path should eb the base path - DIM will take care of adding the application-specific folders.
