Just bought the new latex shaders set, first impression, a very nice collection :-)

http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/latex-shaders

But i'm having some trouble with using them on clothes.

In the preview screen everything looks ok, but as soon as i render there is a lot of poke thrue. tried severel clothes items and all have this.

I can not seem to figure out how i can correct this, and do not have this with other shader sets. Any suggestions how to correct this?

Thanks.

Check displacement values on the shader. The subsurface shader has a slight bug with those and adds displacement across the entire model even if there is no displacement map. Set all the values to zero for minimum and maximum displacement and it should remedy pokethrough issues.

Many thanks for the quick reply! That did the trick now it renders ok :-)

do we know if that particular bug is being fixed? or in line to be fixed?

I don't know that it's a bug, as in a fixable error. I do have a free script to zero the bounds on surfaces with 0 displacement strength - http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/25642/

Thanks for chiming in Richard. :) And the script works great. Thanks for that as well.

Keep in mind also, these shaders need specular lighting, and look really nice with something to reflect. I love using Age of Armour's dome from his Metalized Glass shaders. :) The spec will bring out the "sparkle" within the shaders. (Just a general FYI)
