Exporting fitted clothes

I want to export clothes only, but I want that the clothes keep their fitting. When I keep Genesis in the scene (even when hidden or not selected) and export as FBX, the genesis model is part of the export no matter whether I chose to export only selected or visible. So I have to delete the Genesis model, but then the fitting is gone. Is there a solution for this problem?

Thanks!

What do you mean - you want to keep the clothes as fitted items in the destination applciation, or you want to export them with the current pose still applied but without the figure? Does it have to be FBX?

Can't simply export the cloth in desired position as OBJ?

I want to make a clothing system in the Unreal engine where I can apply different clothes. That's why I need fbx.

When I apply a piece of clothing in Daz studio to a character, it changes is shape depending on the body's shape (thick, thin,etc.). This is the shape I'd like to preserve. If I remove the character from the scene, this fitting gets lost and turns to the default shape, which is either too small or too large when applied in Unreal. Unfortunately I have to delete the character, because Daz studio exports it even when it is not selected or hidden.

Hide the figure, and all but one piece of clothing, make sure the clothing is at base resolution, and then set the morphs and export as OBJ. Then for each piece of clothing import the OBJs through Morph Loader Pro. Those morphs will not depend on the figure and so can be exported.
