Having trouble changing skin tone on Nylyssa for genesis 8

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I just bought Nylyssa for genesis 3 and 8, intending to use genesis 8 version. As with other characters I have there are multiple options to add shapes, make up etc and they all work, but when I try to change skin tone nothing happens. I'm still pretty new to Daz Studio so I might be missing something or doing it in the wrong order, could someone who has this product or understands what I should do please explain to me, I would really appreciate it.

    First I load up the character/actor, then I choose the skin tone (which says shader in the thumbnail) from the content library but nothing happens, the makeup options work and the optional veins you can add but the skin tone won't change

    Nvm, didn't realise you had to select the "skin" tab in "shades" before you selected the skin shade... feel kinda silly now :p
