Question about dual cards

Hi all. Not sure if I'm posting this on the correct forum, so if it needs to be moved, I appologize for that. My question is, when using dual cards for IRay, is there some specific setting or workout that needs to be done in order for Daz Studio to use both cards? I am looking into purchasing another GPU next month when the Nvidia releases a new series, so I have not been able test out two cards at once. I have read that SLI is not recommended for Iray, so I won't have SLI mode on, except for gaming.
Basically what I"m asking, is it complicated to get 2 cards working together for Iray, or is it something simple (or it auto detects two)? Thank you all in advance and have a happy Monday.

As you note, SLI will actually slow them down for Iray purposes; so definitely keep that disabled. Other than that, once the second card is in, go to the Advanced portion of your Render Settings tab and make sure that both are selected for Photoreal and Interactive renders. That should be all you need to do.
Last tim I used SLI, enabling/disabling it required a reboot; you couldn't just toggle it on/off, or select it individually per program. If you had SLI enabled, it was used for everything, including Iray.
You'll have to decide which one you want - faster games or slower renders.
Otherwise, as JonnyRay said, install the new card, let the drivers load, and Daz Studio will (should) auto-enable it for rendering.
