animated substances?

what good is my Beowulf fan film if there's no blood? i got a good recommendation from here about some software for 3d effects, and that sounded good until i found out it was 400 bucks. that's not really in the budget right now... i can do Photoshop just fine, but thats impractical for movies obviously. i mean an animation, to include effects.

    You might be better off with something that has fluid simulation. Blender does and is free.

    i have blender actually, i use it for modeling. how would i integrate its fluid simulation into daz? because i have alot of really high quality models and scenes in daz, that would take me months to make in blender

    DAZ Studio doesn't have physics or fluid simulation of any kind, so the simple answer is that you can't do it.

    Carrara has some kind of physics engine, and you may be able to import DS scenes into it and work on them there. Carrara isn't free, and it has it's own forum on the site here, that is the only way I can think of at the moment.

    Yes, carrara could do it, but no need to import any scene from Studio, carrara can use the same content. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EB2j_wpDbCs

    or use video compositing
    do just a fluid sim in Blender and superimpose it in the scene
