Issues with changing install directories

Hey all! I've searched around and can't seem to find information on the particular problem I'm experiencing so I hope someone can give me advice.
I am trying to change the default install directory for content since my C drive is mainly for my OS and not particularly large. These are the settings I have entered followed by the error I receive. Basically, it seems that Daz is not recognizing the custom library path.

DIM and DS do not talk to each other. Download this script, then with DS running drag it into the viewport to run it -that will update the list of paths in Daz Studio to include the one set in DIM, allowing the content to load

Thank you, Richard! That did the trick! So strange that none of the other threads I read about changing paths mentioned this part but I'm glad there was a snazzy solution.
Lots of install threads mention matching the (Studio) Content Directory Manager paths with the (DIM) install paths.
These are the ones I viewed after searching for "change daz3d install paths" via Google - the top results with somewhat recent dates:

None of them appear to mention that there is an extra step (script) required to make Daz3D recognize the custom paths so I quite naturally (IMO) assumed that the application would recognize the difference automatically. If I had seen mention of an extra step I would have known to search for that and possibly found the threads you are referring to. Any person's Google-fu is only as good as the search terms they use and as a new user to DS I'm simply not familiar enough with the terminology etc of the program and community to run better searches as yet.
The paths can be set up manually, via Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager. I just recommend the script as it reduces the potential for mis-selection.
Welcome to the forums Calliope. I'm glad you got it figured out with Richard's help. I wonder if Richard is the only person who even knows about the existence of that script. It is a sample script for people learning to write Daz Studio scripts. I've only ever heard about configuring it manually inside Daz Studio (the Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager method.)
namffuak did mention the need to set up the Daz Studio Content Directory in the second thread you linked, but I can see how it could easily be overlooked. He said "And F:\Uriah\DAZ3D needs to be defined to DAZ Studio as both a Studio format and Poser format content directory. (In Studio - edit -> preferences -> content -> content directory manager."
It does seem like the official Daz Wiki entries for configuring DIM should tell you that you also have to configure Daz Studio. That certainly would have helped you!
While it may seem apparent, you set a path and expect the program to follow.. I've had trouble on multiple occasions. I even completely uninstalled and deleted everything once, gave it an entire drive and set all the UI options to go there, installed everything through the install manager, and it still dumped 20gb of stuff into my OS drive user profiles. I just became accustomed to the install manager being meaningless and most content being broken picture frame previews as the program can't find anything.
