(Solved) Some DIM installed content showing as not installed in DS product view

I can understand if the product is morphs or clones, etc. but others such as Ailisy for genesis 3 femles, dforce Master Hair simulation presets, Gothic punk for genesis 3 females, Luxury car 1950, and others are showing not installed at all even though DIM says they are. I am creating my own custom categories from the product list in studio and this makes me wonder what is going on.

Not installed as in grey icons, or not isntalled as in having the cirveled arrow icon? The latter just means not installed via Connect, it is meant to be there but wouldn't interfere with using the DIM-installed files; the former might indicate that the files were not entered into the database - that can, for example, happen if DS was closing as DIM was opening and the database ended up closed once DIM was up and installed the files.
Not installed as in grey icons with the only thing showing under it being the install option. Generally I never run DS and DIM at the same time so I'm not sure how that happened. Should I uninstall & re-install via DIM to correct this?
Yes, if that is the root of the issue then uninstall/reisntall should fix it. it's OK to run both DS and DIM concurrently, and that avoids the potential closed CMS due to timing issue.
Ok so I did the uninstall/reinstall on these problem items while I had both DS and DIM open but they still show not installed. In fact now Ailisy is missing the product image icon and just shows the generic icon greyed out. I even went ahead and did the scan known directories for files as well.
It might be a problem with the metadata for those products.
On Luxury Car 1950, do you have both parts (Poser and DS) installed? If not that might be part of the problem, since Connect combines them into one.
Generally I only install the DS part unless it looks like the poser part is also required where the DS part is significantly smaller in size than the poser part which is mostly somewhat older content.
I did figure out how to get them working though, I had to "Update Metadata" on the product after which it showed up correctly. I guess there was an issue with reading the metadata when it was installed.
