"Reset Database" is not clearing out folders

Hi everyone,
I have hundreds of assets that I've accumulated over time, and I did a half-ass job of installing them: I placed them into a "assets" folder in my documents and used the content directory manager to install them to Daz. The problem is, that now it's a ROYAL pain to find the items that I need, when I need them, and it completely throws my workflow off. I'd like to correctly install the assets into "My Library" in order to take advantage of the category function, but now I can't get rid of my old folders that are empty and just sitting in the directory listing. I've tried using "rest database", but it does nothing to the list. I know I can go to each individual folder and right-click > remove base directory. But I was wondering if there was a way to remove them all at once instead of clicking through hundreds of folders to delete them, only to have the list collapse and have to re-open it for each one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm currenty running 4.10 Pro. Thak

If these are folders on disc then the database is not the issue - you need to remove the folders from the list DS looks at, which you can do by right-clicking on them under Daz Studio Formats/Poser Formats/Other Import Formats in the Content Library pane.
Are you needing to clean out fiels still, or just remove the folders? I'm not sure it's any quicker, but you can try using Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager to remove unwanted folders. I don't t think there's a way to multi-select folders and remove them all at once.
The folders under Daz Studio Formats etc. are not database folders, they are file-system folders. The database provides the Categories and Properties lists. Which are you talking about?
Uninstalling the postgre from your pc via add/remove programs will obliterate the db (I know first hand but not on purpose)
