Victoria 4 historical armor doesn't render properly

I am using the Victoria 4 Historical Armor on genesis. It fits fine, but doesn't seem to render as it should. The promo image shows the armour as glossy silver, but when I render it it comes out as a sort of silky dark grey (see attached image) on the default settings. It's difficult to adjust the shaders because of the gold designs on the armour., but surely the promo images should be what you get with the default settings. If the shaders need adjusting, how do I do it while still retaining the detail of the armour? The texture applied, incidentally, is the 'shiny' version, not the battered one.

Are you suing the DAZ Studio materials? I can't recall how it'ss et up, but if it uses real reflections you will need something around the model (and lit) for it to reflect.

I am using the DAZ studio materials - I've not altered anything, just rendered it exactly as it came. The screenshot I included had lights, but no environment. I've tried to render again in an environment which completely surrounds the figure, so that there is something to reflect, but it still comes out as dark grey.
