Daz Studio Pro Will Not Launch

I just installed DazStudio on my PC running Windows 8.1. Daz Studio will not launch however, Hexagon does. Has anyone had a simular problem? Any help is appreciated.

Do you get an error? If you go to %AppData%\DAZ 3D\Studio4 (just paste that into the address bar in a file browser) and is there a log.txt file? If there is, attach it to a post here.
I do not get an error. The software actually does load but will not display on my monitor (I am running dual monitors). The DS icon displays at the bottom of my task bar indicating that the software is open. When I roll my mouse pointer over the DS icon in my task bar a thumbnail pops up showing a minature launch/home screen of the software, as it does with any of my other programs. Again, I can not view an open window of Daz Studio. Would the log file reveal this or could it be something with my monitor(s) or video card.
Hi Richard. Just to give you a heads up, I resolved my issue of not being able to view the DS on my monitor. The problem was that because I am running dual monitors, DS launched but displayed as a very small window outside the viewable bounderies of my monitor. To fix this I had to shut down the second monitor and relaunch the DS software in a single monitor display. I launched just fine but as a very large thumbnail window. I then resized the DS window and placed it on my screen the way I wanted to view it. I restarted my second monitor and now all is well. Thanks for your input.
i too got the same problem but i didn't launch it in dual monitors mine is windows 10 likewise hexagon came .but as i launch daz studio its first window comes / " upgrading CMS " / it didn't come for 15 minutes
Please help! I'm getting this issue too now. It was running just fine until yesterday. I see the app open on my task bar, but nothing is displayed. Very frustrating because I have a render due in a few days and I can't open it!
I doubt it's the same issue, since you've presumably checked it isn't on your second display. If you are on Windows go to
%AppData%/daz 3d/studio4/
(assuming this is not the beta version) and remove the layout.dsx file - will DS open properly?
I don't have a second display. I'm having the issue as ganesharma8916. I've removed the layout.dsx file, but I still can't see anything. The app starts up, but nothing after that. Going to restart and reinstall.

Hail Mary... Try changing the resolution of your monitor once you have started DS, if the application starts off-screen, this could return it to the visible area.
It does seem to be having trouble connecting to the database, if you ar seeing the splash screen with the CMS line then that might be related. What security software are you running?
