is there a way to use v4 clothes with a genesis 3 or 8 character ?

Hi,

was wondering this, as i wanted to use something like this :

with a gf3 or gf8 character, or is there something that looks like the same ? or maybe a plugin/converter ?

1) open V4

2) fit V4 clothing to V4

3) open Genesis (female)

4) parent and fit clothing on V4 to Genesis (female)

5) delete V4

6) open Genesis 2 Female

7) parent & fit clothing to Genesis 2 Female

8) delete Genesis (female)

9) open Genesis 3 Female

10) parent & fit clothing to Genesis 3 Female

11) delete Genesis 2 Female

12) save clothing now fitted to Genesis 3 Female as Wearable Presets for Genesis 3 Female

13) open Genesis 8 Female

14) parent clothing to Genesis 8 Female

15) delete Genesis 3 Female

16) save clothing now fitted to Genesis 8 Female as Wearable Presets for Genesis 8 Female

* Sometimes, for some clothing, this doesn't cause the clothing to fit correctly and that is a bug - example, on Genesis 8 Female the arms are in an A-Pose and not a T-Pose and then the arms on the clothing don't fit. Autofit should be changed in DAZ Studio to fix that bug.

I use a simpler version of the above method. This product lets you go straight from V4 to G3 and then I save it and use on G8

It allows one to use clothing from V3, M3, A3, H3, Kids 4, Freak 3, S3, and D3. Really an outstanding product!

I need to get the expansion. I have so many old clothing items and so many Iray shaders to apply to them.

I have those above as well as this.  Didn't really work on the fit that much just applied uber shader for iray so this is pretty much no adjustments done.  I love all the old stuff

the "plugins or the tutorial told here fix the issue with some "outfits in the area around the neck which makes some outfits prts to "follow" the head??? something like this issue:

    

 

also in some outfits cases with a "loincloth it also bugs on the "legs spreading the loincloth to follow the leg if you spread it:

trying to fit it in g8

i had those issues trying to fit v4 in g8 even using this plugging don't worked well:

What templates are you selecting when you convert the clothing? Like for the loincloth are you choosing the Loincloth template when converting it?

There is some great old stuff, although the materials usually require some work.
