New to DS, tablet mouse nightmare
Greetings. I've used Poser for 15 years. I want to expand my skills and use DS. I've tried it several times and was frustrated with the learning curve. The latest version seems much better ... but I have an intuis tablet I use for my mouse. DS is sluggish and in some cases doesn't respond at all. At times even keyboard shortcuts don't bring up the menu. I've made sure the WACOM setting include DS, but the response time is frustrating. I am however not only determined to use the program, but aside from the frustration I'm still impressed with what it can potentially do. Help please.
Interesting sidebar here. IF I switch to another program, say my internet browser then go back, it's more responsive for a while before becoming sluggish again. IF that helps.

Greetings.
I too have an Intuos, mine is the Intuos 4 "Medium". As I get into DS, I will try to test it because I want to see if that tablet will work well for DS (and Bryce and Hexagon, etcetera). It might be a couple weeks before I can get to this, but I will let you know how it goes for me.
Sidebar: I am also intrigued by the "Cintiq" line of touch/pentouch monitor tablets from Wacom (the same company that makes Intuos). They are expensive...but maybe someday I will get one!
Mine too is an Intuis 4 "Medium". I had no problem with Hexagon or Bryce. But then again, it also seemed sluggish with keyboard shortcuts. It does seem to be only a problem with DS.
I would look for an updated driver for your wacom. or go into the device manager and delete all the drivers and then do i full install of the wacom drivers you already have... searching for the latest one would be the best option in thinking. Hope that helps.
Thank you I will try that ... it's just why is it only happening with DS?
