Install Daz on new Computer

First what I am doing and have saved to a externtal drive. I have all the Daz data (Products) backed up in all files on my old computer. My question is should I install all the files and then download Daz 4.10.123 again so it will find all of that data when installed or install Daz first and then load the data. I think the first option but am not sure. Drive letter the same on both computers so pathways should be fine. Please advise.

It doesn't matter. In order for DS to find content that was copied over, rather than installed, you will either need to also copy across the database files (C:/Users/YOU/AppData/Roaming/Daz 3D/cms/ContentCluster) or reimport metadata (and have exported the user data on the old machine) which si done by selecting Content DB Maintenance from the Content Library option menu (the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab) and checking the option, then selecting all items in the next dialogue
Richard I backed up every file on the other drive in every folder, the only thing not backed up where program files. So I will be loading in all the data and then load in programs I have 570gbs of data to transfer so it will take a bit of time to get done. Daz is not my only 3D software I have others.
If you have a back-up of the database then you just need to install DS and PostgreSQL, and anything else that puts files in the application folder (plug-ins, most shaders, and some scripts) and tell DS which content directory to use if your folders are not the defaults.
Richard It appears I have to download and install every product I have purchased for the past 5 years and stuff I purchased from Renderosity or RDNA is just those black and white icons say it's not there. This is a real pain in the ass and will take forever. Oh that button does nothing you talked about above.
The option menu button? How about right-clicking on the pane's tab?
Are you sure your content diectories are correct, pointing to the folder that holds the Runtime and data folders in each case?
If you are using DIM you will need to back-up themanifest files folder that it creates to know what has been installed.
It's all done except for a few files that did not transfer so I will do them manually later I have to load Vue now and get winzip 17 back. Still lots of fun stuff to do till I rest.
