Wow, impressively realistic renders! What software do you use, and which render engine (looks like maybe Octane, or LuxRender)?

Thank you Scott, I did them in DAZ Studio using Octane Render. My Sister and her partner bought it for me and Mike (the partner) has been giving me lots of help getting to understand how to use them. I am really enjoying doing these, my mobility is limited after an accident and it keeps my mind busy which is a good thing.

The car one doesn't even look like a render- looks like a photograph. :) Very nice, all of them. Sorry to hear about your accident and glad you can take advantage of the fun DAZ has to offer.

Very nice, especially the sci-fi helmet, looks like screen shot from a movie.

    Great stuff, Spider.

I also love that sci-fi helmet shot. Very cool!

It does indeed look like a still from an animated movie, like she's just going to start moving at any second.

Thank you jgstyle ;-) I let that one render for a while doing 8,000 samples before I shut it down.

I found this little critter as a freebie at and the textures at 3D Universe and the textures at ShareCG and had to do something with it.

Thank you bullit! I wouldn't say Octane was hard to learn, the stand alone version comes with a comprehensive user manual (which is a must read to understand the program) and there is an excellent support forum. The Studio plugin is still in its infancy and doesn't have much of a manual as yet, though the developer is very active on the forum addressing users questions and bug fixes.

The only advice I could give to someone wanting to learn Octane to keep the user manual in an easy to find place and practice, practice, practice. That is what I do as I am a newbie with a lot to learn.

Thank you very much for your support Andrey :) Though I wouldn't call myself a master. This thread shows all my finished projects, I have about 15 projects unfinished waiting for me to learn what I need to finish them.
