Problem fitting old clothing to new figures

Figure is Genesis 8 and the towel is for Genesis. I have to pose the figure weird to avoid this issue. Any advice? Alternatively, is there a similar towel for Genesis 8?

Just make sure there is space between the limbs and the clothing item  other wise the the cloth thinks that part should be covered .....let it fit to the figure then move the limbs(arms) back closse to the original position

So... I can't use a natural pose? I can't have her walking around with her arms in the air. Is there another towel that fits G8F better?

You should be able to use any pose just make sure that there is space ,the one pic you showed where the towel was stretched around the arm , the arm wasn't up ,again just bring the arm to the pose you want just make sure when you do that there is a little space between the towel and the arm .....,I don't know for sure if there is a towel for G8F  there might be one for G3F that would give a better fit  though ...... and maybe someone with more knowledge will pop in here  to help

I  have this sort of problem all the time. The only solution I have found that nearly always works is to carefully tweak the pose in the parameters tab by 0.1 or less (if available) at a time.  A second solution that is more effective, but does not work on as many items, is to adjust the number of mesh smoothing iterations in paramaters>general>mesh smoothing>  then enable smoothing - select smoothing type drop down and select base shape matching, then in collision iterations adjust the default value to your taste (try not to get into double digits though... )

Not all products will support the second solution... you'll know for sure once you select your product in both the scene tab and the  parameters tab and you can or cannot find the smoothing section or some of the parts I listed above.

now turn on interactive update and cross your fingers

The second solution seems to work. Thanks a lot!
