My Actors activity pane turns white; what do I overlook?
Hi gang,
Now, this is most likely a very easy thing but I just can't get my fingers behind this. After searching quite a bit I eventually figured I might as well use this forum for what it was intended ;-)
Sometimes my Actors (Wardrobe & Props) activity turns white. When that happens I still see the wireframe of the floor, everything behaves normal (adding Genesis or Genesis 2 for example), the view is definitely the normal perspective view but everything is white.
If I select another activity such as Pose, Lights or Render then the colour turns back to blue again.
I searched a lot, but so far I noticed that this doesn't seem to be a backdrop option; selecting the option shows me no image and no rotation. It's also not related (I assume) to the draw style selector. I can, for example, easily use wireframe after which I only see Genesis' eyes because the white wireframe disappears in the background ;)
Resetting the camera doesn't work, closing and starting the program doesn't work either, and right now the only way I got out of it was by loading a previous scene I made.
But that made me realize that this has to be some selectable option, which apparently also gets saved in your files.
So could anyone enlighten me as to what happened here?
Thanks in advance!

Sounds as if your background colour is changing, though without a screenshot it's hard dot be sure. Background colour is set from the viewport option menu - click the little menu button next to the display mode selection sphere to get that. By default DS saves the background with the scene and applies it n opening the scene, so if you open a scene saved with a white background it will be changed (in the current viewport) - this behaviour is controlled in Edit>Preferences>Scene.
Thanks a lot!
That was exactly what I was looking for. It's just as you said; some scenes (or whatever file I was loading back then) propagated this.
A bit confusing when you're just starting out, but it still makes perfect sense.
It's the only "disadvantage" of being new to software such as Daz Studio: it has such an extremely amount of options that it's easy to lose focus or overlook things.
Alas; problem solved. Thanks again!
