Bake Scale of Prop For Collida Export

I'm transferring a figure with clothes and associated props to iClone. To do this I have to first export as a collida file and then convert it to fbx and load it into iClone 3dxchange.
(The Daz fbx export does not work properly and give many extra bones assocated with hidden morphs).
The problem with the collida file format it that it exports all objects at their 100% scale. I have changed the scale on several props to make them fit my character but still it only exports them as 100%.
The means all the imported props don't fix my character properly.
How to I 'reset' / bake the scale so that say 130% becomes the new 100% default value?

Hide everything but a single prop, export the item as OBJ, import that (using the same preset in both directions) and copy the materials from the original to the "frozen" scaled version if necessary, delete the version with the manually set scale. Repeat as needed for additional props.
Surely that can't be the best method. That'll create a new prop object file. All I want to do is change the scale on an item, it would be even useful on a articulating prop or boned figure and then change the scale and reset that new size to 100%.
There must be a better way.
No, that is it as far as resetting the base scale. There may be a way to get Collada to use the non-default scale, though - all I can think of is memorising the prop (or figure) before export.
