Changing daz library root directory

Hello, I'm really new to daz and I'm having a blast (and some times headaches) learning about it. I need to format my pc and at the time I didn't think of installing daz and it's assets in a different partition, so my question is: to avoid [messing] up with windows registers, I wanted to install daz in another partition and then drag/replace the files from the library to the new directory?
The two issues I can see could pop up would be that daz assets are installed in the main partition no matter what (public documents), but I could solve that by saving my library in an alternative drive until I format and reinstall everything. And the potential second issue would be that it wouldn't work due to how daz stores assets, which I couldn't fix.
My internet connection isn't that good so I'd like to avoid downloading as much stuff as possible.
Thanks and sorry if I didn't explain myself correctly

Content can go where you like. The Content Management System stores only relative paths, so Daz Studio will not care if you move yout content (as long as you tell it which folder you are using instead of My Library/My Daz 3D Library). Install Manager does store absolute paths; if you click the gear icon at top-right you can, in the Installation tab, tell it to use the current folder rather than the original install folder for updates but there is a small risk that if an update needs to remove an existing file, rather than replacing it with a new version, you may have issues.
If you set teh location of your Documents folder before first installing DS then that nwe location will be used for the \Daz 3D\Studio\My Library default folder. However, as you have already isntalled DS it's too late for that this time.
